The lifestyle label URBANE MUSE CHRIS SMITH® overseen by label founder and sole designer Smith has a belief which states that, “It is our culture that enriches our lives everyday.” URBANE MUSE collections and designs are crafted from sketch works by Smith. The label’s accessories consist of utilitarian bags and small leather goods. Smith’s studio launched ART OVER WAR® as a permanent collection of the house. Philosophy
We set out to be contributors to humanity through the varied paths each of us are allotted through individual experience and opportunity. In my life, I’ve been blessed to have an early exposure to a creative platform. I’ve never let a day pass without recognizing the blessings of doing what I love. We’re increasingly becoming more connected. Now more than ever we’re impacted by each other’s lives: environmentally, socially and spiritually. One example includes children born into impoverished communities facing challenges not even the strongest of us could withstand. An ever-present example, is racism in all it’s forms. We are all interconnected and we can no longer look the other way. Whether we voice our concerns or actively make a difference, it is up to each of us to do our part. Art and culture connect us, it is what URBANE MUSE represents. This platform is a continuation of my creative journey. Art has been my passion; culture has enriched my life, these two have and continue to educate and inspire me.
